For admins of South African travel & accommodation Facebook groups

Everyone gets paid for your group. Except you.

You spent years building a community of South African travellers and hosts. Every week someone asks where to stay, and you answer for free. Wielo pays you a share of every host you send — every month, for as long as they stay subscribed.

Become a partner — it's free Watch how it works

Takes about two minutes. No card, no minimums, no lock-in. Every partner is approved by hand, so you'll hear from a person.

Paid in rand

By EFT, straight to your South African bank account. No wallets, no points, no vouchers.

Every month, not once

Around R140 per host, for as long as they stay subscribed. It arrives whether you posted that week or not.

Nothing to sell

Your commission comes out of Wielo's revenue, never your members' pockets. The host pays the same either way.

Who gets paid for your group

You built the room. Everyone else is charging at the door.

Every “where should we stay near…?” thread in your group is a booking about to happen. You answer it, the booking happens, and the money goes to four places — none of them yours.

Nothing about that is your fault — there has never been a way for a group admin to be on that list. Wielo adds the fifth line.

Built over years

An audience that acts

Thousands of South African travellers who book what you recommend. Trust no booking site can buy.

Already in the room

The hosts themselves

Guesthouses, B&Bs, self-catering, farm stays — Wielo's exact customer, sitting in your member list right now.

Every single week

Buying intent, on tap

“Anyone been to…?” threads are demand you already answer. For free. Week after week.

Facebook monetises your group. The booking platforms monetise your members. Everyone gets paid except the person who built the room.

What lands in your hands

A link, a pack, a ledger, and a payout. That's the whole job.

No dashboard to learn, no funnel to build, no reporting to chase. Here is every screen you will ever need, in the order you'll meet them.

Done for you

Your marketing, already written.

Not a promise of a pack — the actual library, listed here. Every post is written for a specific kind of place, so a partner with a Kruger-and-lowveld group goes straight to the lodge posts and never reads the other seventy.

Each one comes with its caption written out and your referral link already in it. Pick the one that fits, copy it, post it. There is nothing to design, nothing to write, and nothing you are obliged to publish.

The objection you're probably already having

You're not selling to your group. You're saving them money.

The hosts in your community are your members too. Sending them to Wielo isn't a pitch — it's a favour. They stop paying booking commission, they own their guest list, and they get a proper booking site. You just made your group more valuable to the people in it.

And Wielo pays you for it, every single month.

Your members see

An admin who looks after them.

You brought the hosts in your group something that puts money back in their pockets. That's the opposite of a sales post.

Your hosts get

Their own bookings back.

A branded booking site, direct guests, zero booking commission. You're the reason they found it.

You get

Paid, every month.

Recurring commission for as long as each host stays — and the standing that comes with being right.

No spam, no quotas, no pressure. Drop your link where it naturally fits, as often or as rarely as suits your community.

Vet us properly

Real platform. Real hosts. Real rand.

Wielo is a live South African platform helping guesthouses, B&Bs and lodges take direct bookings and cut booking commission. Paystack, PayPal and EFT ready. POPIA-compliant.

01 · Host pays

A flat subscription → zero booking commission to Wielo, ever.

02 · Wielo pays you

From its own revenue → your commission never comes out of the host's pocket.

03 · Result

The host wins, you win, and nobody in your group pays extra for you to earn.

Partner earnings: not published yet.

The partner programme is new. We could invent a leaderboard and a few glowing quotes — every scheme you've ever been pitched does. We'd rather leave this space honestly empty until there are real numbers in it. Same discipline as the host side: launched from zero, on purpose.

Ninety days from now

Both versions of this page end in December.

Only one of them pays you for the group you already run.

If you close this tab

Exactly what happens today.

  • You answer the same “where should we stay” thread another dozen times, for free.
  • The hosts in your group keep handing 15–22% to the big platforms.
  • The booking sites keep monetising the audience you built.
  • Your cut, in December, is still R0.
If you join in two minutes

The same year, paid.

  • Your link and your pack are live the day you're approved.
  • The hosts you send keep their own bookings and their own guest list.
  • Every one of them pays you, every month they stay.
  • And if you never post about it, you have lost nothing at all.

Wollie & Petra — founders, Wielo. Built in Sabie, Mpumalanga.

From the people who built it

We need admins like you far more than you need us.

We don't have your community's trust — you do. We can't tell a guesthouse owner in your group which platform to believe. You can, and they'll listen, because you're the one who's been answering their questions for years.

So we built the tool and stayed out of the way. That's also why the programme is free, why there are no quotas, and why nothing about it is designed to make you look like a salesperson in your own group.

Straight answers

Every reason to hesitate.

Isn't this just spamming my own group?

+

No. You're pointing hosts to a platform that saves them money and gives your members a booking site they'll actually use. Share it naturally — a pinned post, your group description, or when someone asks. It's a favour, not an ad.

Do I have to be a host myself?

+

No. If you run a travel or accommodation community, you already know hosts. That's all it takes.

What's the actual rate?

+

20% of what each referred host pays Wielo, for as long as they stay subscribed. Hosts choose between plans from R399 to R999 a month, so that's R80 to R200 per host per month — around R140 on the plan most hosts pick.

How long do I get credit for someone who clicks my link?

+

90 days from their first click. If they sign up in that time, they're yours — and they stay yours for as long as they're a subscriber.

What happens if a host cancels?

+

That host's commission stops when their subscription does. The rest of your referrals carry on unaffected. There are no clawbacks.

When and how do I get paid?

+

In rand, by EFT to your South African bank account. Commission is held until the refund window passes, then clears; once your cleared balance reaches R1 000 you can request a payout, and below that it rolls over. Every referral, payment and running balance is visible in your dashboard.

Does it cost the hosts anything extra?

+

No. Your commission comes out of Wielo's subscription revenue, not the host's pocket. The host pays the same either way — and keeps 100% of their booking revenue.

Is it really free? What's the catch?

+

Free to join, no minimums, no lock-in. Wielo makes money when hosts subscribe and shares some of it with the people who send them. That's the whole model.

Do I need any tech skills?

+

None. You get a link and a pack with the graphics and copy already written. Copy, paste, share.

Last thing

You already did the hard part. Now get paid for it.

You spent years earning your community's trust. Wielo pays you — every month, for as long as each host stays — to point them somewhere that actually helps them. It costs you nothing, it costs your members nothing, and if you never post about it, nothing happens.
